First update for 2006 & a big THANK YOU! Whew, what a
year! We want to say a BIG 'thank you' to all the schools and libraries that
supported Sir Laughalot Productions throughout 2005. After such a wonderful year
we hoped that 2006 would be equally as successful, well it's gone WAY beyond all
our expectations, so thank you for re-booking and also for all the wonderful
'word of mouth' you have provided. Our dream was to create ‘mini – musicals’ for Pre-Schools and daycare centers. We
wanted to bring a range of theatrical disciplines (magic, music, juggling,
comedy, ventriloquism, puppetry and dance) to our shows. We wanted them to be
filled with wonderful original songs but also classic favourites for the
children to enjoy. We wanted to have vibrant costumes, beautiful colourful backdrops and really ‘magical’ puppets, and we wanted them all to be of the highest quality. In addition we wanted the technical side (such as sound) to be the best it could be and so we use the finest headset mics and the most up-to-date remote equipment available. Once
we had shows of the highest quality, we wanted to present them in the best
conditions possible and so we purposely restricted our bookings to a maximum of
2 per day. This way we would never need to rush a show in order to ‘get
somewhere else’. One
last pre-requisite was that our shows would be affordable to most centers.
Therefore we have kept the price to the bare minimum of $300.00, regardless of
whether the show is in Sydney or Newcastle! We are extremely proud of the result! Our costumes are all hand made especially for each of our shows. Our puppets and sound equipment have all been made for us in the United States and imported especially for our shows, and we have created some wonderful stories, characters and songs for the children to enjoy. So once again we say thank you for your feedback and support. Several directors have pointed out that some other performance groups (who have been around for many years) have started changing their shows and marketing to a more 'Laughalot-esque' style. With a big smile on my face I say thank you, that is quite flattering to know.

Christmas Pantomime We thank everyone who booked our 2005 Christmas pantomime, it was a HUGE success. Many of those centres have already re-booked for this Christmas! So if you are considering our Christmas pantomime please book now, last year we had to turn away some bookings because the Christmas schedule filled up so quickly. So to avoid disappointment please don't wait until later in the year, book now!
Laughalot Books and CD. Our first run of 'self published' books have now completely sold out. They will be available again shortly, but in order to meet demand we are currently negotiating with some larger commercial publishers. It's a similar story for our CD's. We had to run each of the 'Laughalot singalong albums' off by hand, and that included putting the CD's and inserts into the cases. It was extremely labor intensive and with our bookings for 2006 we're not going to have the time to do this ourselves, therefore we're going to outsource the burning and reproducing of our CD's. We appologise to all those who are on the waiting list for books and CD's, it wont be much longer. We have had some reports about difficulty getting through on our phone lines, so please watch this space or email regarding updates about the books and CD's. This will leave our phones open for bookings alone, so it should be much easier to get through. Laughalot DVD's I'm almost hesitant to mention this as we are still in pre-production. However, we hope to have our first TV quality DVD available for purchase by mid 2006. Watch this space.
2005 Christmas pantomime - Our 2005 Christmas show is currently in production! 'Santa and the magic of Christmas' is a wonderful magical experience which takes place right inside Santa's own workshop. Santa has gone on vacation and has left his head elves 'Eric and Erique' in charge. There's only 5 sacks to fill, but if they don't do it in time, the magic of Christmas will be lost forever! A wonderful magical journey ensues as Eric and Erique (with the help of the girls and boys) magically fill the sacks one by one, but can they make it in time?!?! Throughout the show toys come to life and sing and dance with the children, and all the while the mischievous Binky the Bunny is trying to foil their plans! The show is filled with songs new and old, magic, puppets, audience interaction and loads of laughs for the parents and teachers as well as the children. Santa makes several 'appearances' throughout the show via the Santa hot-phone. In the end we find that the magic of Christmas has been there all along inside each child, and so with a bit of magic Santa finally appears in the flesh. He has a rousing sing along with the children before heading off back to the North Pole. We are extremely proud of our Christmas pantomime and are sure that you will be delighted by this charming and fun-filled performance. The 'Santa and the magic of Christmas' season is from the 1st of November 2005, to the 23rd of December 2005. This pantomime is almost completely booked out, so please get in soon to avoid disappointment.

The Alphabet Detective and The Mystery of the Red Sock The Alphabet detective is off on the toughest case of his career - The mystery of the Red Sock! With his trusty side-kick (Winston the Hound dog) by his side, the alphabet detective goes on a musical, magical, funfilled adventure in his quest to solve the mystery of the red sock. Along the way we meet a host of wacky and zany characters, who help the Alphabet detective and the boys and girls to find each clue. For more info and photos, please click HERE.
Professor Pickle and his amazing flying fairy tale machine Professor Pickle has built a machine that takes him inside actual fairy tales! In our story the Professor travels to many different Fairy Tale lands in his quest to meet a dinosaur. Along the journey we meet a host of fairy tale favourites including characters from Alice in Wonderland, the Hare and the Tortoise, Snow white and many more! Special Goodies - We are currently in the process of having our wonderful children shows published as individual books. These will be available from our website once a booking has been made. We will post details here once the books become available, so please check back regularly. We will also be adding teacher's notes which will contain some fantastic follow up activities as well as some pre-show ideas!
Sir Laughalot show re-shuffle - Due to the popularity of our Pre School shows throughout the 2005 year, Sir Laughalot productions will specialize exclusively in Pre School shows starting from January the first 2006. This means that Sir Laughalot Productions will no longer be producing or performing shows for Primary Schools. We would like to thank the many hundreds of primary schools who have booked our shows over the years, without your support we would not be where we are today, so thank you once again! However, this is good news for Pre Schools as we will be available for far more bookings and may even be able to offer a greater variety of shows each year. At the moment though, we have 2 new shows planned for 2006. One is 'Professor Pickle and his amazing time machine' and the other one will be announced shortly...so check back regularly We will also be offering 'Safari Sam's Jungle Adventure' and 'A Pirates' Tale' for those who missed out in 2005, and also a brand new Christmas pantomime at the end of 2006..

We have had MANY enquiries regarding the release of the 'Sir Laughalot Singalong album'. We're happy to anounce that volume 1 is in pre-production and will be released in time for Christmas. Please 'WATCH THIS SPACE' as we will be posting updates as they come to hand and also details on how to order the above Sir Laughalot products.
